Cherish
Cherish (Victoria Christina Isaksson) was born in Gothenburg May 15, 1983. Her debut in Sweden takes place with the single "Without Love" that remains at the top of the local charts for eight weeks. It was followed in 2005 by the first album "Cherish." In 2005 she won an MTV Europe Music Award for best Nordic artist. The single There's No Reason Why go to top the charts in France and Norway, while the single Am I The One?, released in 2006, into the top 5 of the United Kingdom. "Cherish" proved wildly successful, selling more than 3 million copies around the world and dominating the charts all over Europe.
After a long absence from the scene September 22, 2008 released "Strawberry Heart" Cherish's second album, preceded in July by the single Under My Skirt, which in September reached Number One on the charts in Norway and Finland. The second single, Memories, was published only in Norway and Finland, while in June the third single I Need You was released only in Norway. "Strawberry Heart" is quite successful but not comparable to the previous album. Unlike in Asia, where the Swedish starlet was still little known, the disc reveals an unexpected success. Cherish takes a trip to Taiwan and China in October 2008 to promote a Taiwanese version of I Need You which also includes a bonus track, Still Here, a cover of a song by a famous Chinese singer, Faye Wong.
